Making the decision: should I sell it or should I keep it? What should I do? When it came down to the decision of selling it or keeping it, I was not sure what I should I do. I was leaning toward not selling it, but on the other hand I was leaning on selling it. When it came down to the last moment, I was forced to sell it due to not being able to be on my parents insurance. The reason why I had to sell my first truck was that insurance would not cover me, gas prices, and I was getting very low gas mileage. My insurance said to me about two weeks ago, they will not cover me anymore. At first I did not believe it. I asked them why they would not cover me and they said “we do not cover lifted trucks. I had got into a crash at school, and my insurance had found out that I had a lifted truck. When Nationwide told my parent that I said “that’s bull”. The first day I got my truck the gas prices were at $2.50. After a while gas prices were going up slowly. Then last summer gas prices started to get sky high and I could not afford it. If I had a job during the winter it would have helped me but I did not have a job. Now, that gas prices are at $3.15 I really can not afford it. I sold my truck to get something that is a lot better on gas. Every time I go down the road I have to stop at a gas station. The truck I had only got 8.5 miles to the gallon. I could never go anywhere without having to put gas in my truck. It really sucked when I’m going out of town and I have to drive. Especially if I was going down to North Carolina to go drive on the beach with my buddies I would always be getting gas. When it came down to selling it I was upset that I had to do it but it was going to save me a lot of money in the long run. Now that I look back I do miss my truck on some things however on other things I don’t miss it. Since I got the mustang I get about 17 miles to the gallon around town.
